Home Art Kits:
COMING SOON - Our monthly subscription kits will provide the opportunity to problem-solve, discover, and experiment with new materials while learning and practicing hands-on art techniques. Each kit will be focused on a new technique (value, shading, color theory, photography, printmaking, sculpture, etc.) and come with the materials necessary to create three art projects along with several pages of educational learning and links to video tutorials and lessons. This is the perfect gift for individuals looking to foster and develop their art skills. Recommended for ages 10+
Seasonal Craft Kits:
Our craft kits are the perfect way to celebrate the seasons with fun and festive crafts that can be done from the comfort of your home. These can be purchased as a single item or as a bi-monthly subscription plan (January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, November/December). Each seasonal craft kits come with the materials needed to create two festive crafts, along with step-by-step instructions and video tutorials. They make excellent gifts for anyone looking to get crafty. Recommended for ages 10+
Birthday Bundles and Class Kits:
COMING SOON - Our birthday bundles and class kits are great for small groups that are looking to create together. They come with enough materials for 15 individuals to participate. Recommended for ages 5-10
Digital Downloads:
Are you looking for fun and inspiring lesson plans, projects, and art resources that can be completed with your own art supplies? Our digital downloads are targeted for educators, home-schooling parents, and individuals that are looking for ways to enhance their current art curriculum or practices using their own art supplies.
Video Tutorials:
All of our projects and lessons are accompanied by video tutorials and step-by-step instructions. Our video tutorials can be found on our Home Art Kits YouTube channel or via the QR code located inside eac h of your kits.

How our business started
Getting to know Heather & Lauren
With a combined 36 years of art education experience, Heather and Lauren began as colleagues and have become friends since 2009. Looking for a way to bring their knowledge and art expertise outside of the classroom, they decided to team up and create Heather and Lauren's Home Art Kits.
Lauren is an award-winning art educator and artist with 12 years of teaching experience in the traditional classroom. Some of her earliest memories include experimenting with new materials and painting at a young age in her mother’s art studio. With hopes of fostering the same love for art-making in her two children, Rockwell and Barrett, Lauren began looking for a way to take her love of the arts and combine it with a solution for other mothers and families looking to make art outside of the classroom and school setting.
Heather received her BFA in Art Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999 and her master’s degree in Technology and Instruction from Benedictine University in 2005. With over 23 years of experience in the middle school setting, Heather has been able to develop an art curriculum for students of all abilities. The curriculum allows her to meet her students where they’re at and encourage them to explore a wide variety of mediums, develop their technical skills as well as build their ideas for subject matter/content. She believes that creating art is unique to the individual – that we all have our own experiences upon which we reflect to create meaningful works to be shared with the world. Of all the art mediums which Heather is able to use, most of her personal work focuses on creating custom pieces for her clients using oil pastels, watercolors, and/or ceramics.
